If you want something cheap and ehhhh this is your place... Good if they are the only place open. They call it home cooking but I think I would rather just eat at home. The decor doesn't make sense I'm not sure if they are going for homey or country...maybe both? All I know is they must be from Texas since there was Texas stuff all over the place. The chairs were old and worn out. The tea tasted off like it was really old or something. The bathroom is in a weird place in a hallway that looks like it goes to another shop. The food was bland and greasy. The waitress kept walking by without once checking to see how we were doing. So though the tea was awful I never even got the chance to get something else so I had to steal from my husband's water glass every time I needed a drink. It was pretty crap. Won't be going back again. This was us giving them a second chance to get it right... forget three strikes and your out... your just out. :( not the way you want to start the day.

Located in the Hot Springs Village community, the building and interior looks like an old office renovated to be used as a restaurant which seemed kind of awkward at first. Otherwise, the staff are friendly and place is clean. The food is really delicious and I love their sweet iced tea! The most common audience attraction are senior citizens but the restaurant is able to accommodate a large group of family and friends. The good eats we flavored on the menu were the homemade chili, taco salad with beef, grilled cheese with baked potato and french fries, and their specialty create your own mess is always a top favorite and popular. The food contains wheat and it can be filling and heavy on the stomach for certain meals but if you have a high metabolism like myself, after an hour and a half or two, you will start to get hungry all over again. :D The only minus star I could find was that they mentioned they had homemade biscuits but came back with so many excuses of not being able to make any for us because we asked different servers until the last one said that they didn't make any homemade biscuits that their biscuits were canned (yuck!).

We had breakfast here two days in a row over Thanksgiving this year, and would have made it three if we'd still been in the area. If you like great, down-home breakfast from friendly folks in a nice environment, this fits the bill. We had a mix of the "standard" eggs/potatoes/meat/bread combinations, And I ventured into the chicken fried steak the first morning. Both the hash browns and country potatoes were fixed to perfection. The bacon was just right. And the gravy on the chicken fried steak was very good. The only part that wasn't up to expectations was the biscuits. Instead of home-made, they serve what appears to be frozen biscuits. Don't let this deter you from enjoying a hearty meal here. The only downside to the place is that you have to be "inside" Hot Springs Village to get here. As we were guests of my folks, I don't know what types of requirements there are to get in.

Debra's is wonderful! Our party had catfish, chicken fried steak and several had breakfast, they serve it all day. Everyone loved everything!! We took several pieces of pie to go and all of the pies were excellent! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Great food and great service - we look forward to going back!!

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to eat here with my family because I'm not straight. Any business that won't even allow you to eat in their establishment deserves less than one star. If you have any family members that are gay, don't go here!

Hateful owners. If my friends and family can't eat here, I won't either. They proudly display their discrimination on their sleeves with a sign that proudly states they have the right to refuse service to anyone. In this current political climate, it is easy to read between the lines.

This place proudly displays a sign on the door promoting the fact that they refuse service to anyone. But when asked about the sign they advised that it was basically refusing service to any and all non-straight people. This alone made me give them 1 stars because discrimination in any form shouldn't be tolerated and I for one will not be spending my hard earned money at a establishment that advertises that they discriminate.

It's another restaurant near the gated community that is Hot Springs Village. It's good solid breakfast and lunch food. The eggs Benny was good, the sauce was nice and lemony, solid food, in an area where there just isn't much around. Definitely a go-back for breakfast and brunch. These are down home peeps with down home cooking and I like it.

I have eaten here many times. I have never had a bad meal. Breakfast is excellent. Lunch specials are very good and a bargain. Service is outstanding.
